Who's behind this
EnMonterrey is edited by a small desk with roots in Nuevo León's executive-search and consulting community. We read the same twenty newsletters you probably do — plus a few you don't — and we do the work of turning that flood into a five-minute morning read. The voice is deliberate: warm, direct, and business-focused. We think of her as a friend at breakfast, not a broadcaster.
How we source
Every story on EnMonterrey draws from at least three independent sources before publication. Our research engine pulls from three tiers of material:
- Primary. Government releases, company IR pages, first-party research (CBRE, Colliers, JLL, Solili, INEGI, Banxico). Quantitative claims are cited here whenever possible.
- Trade press. Reuters, Bloomberg Línea, El Financiero, El Economista, Milenio Monterrey, Reforma, Expansión, Mexico Business News, T21, MexicoIndustry, and other outlets with a professional editorial standard.
- Tip-offs. Company and aggregator newsletters that reach our desk each morning. These help us spot stories worth writing — they are never the sole citation for a fact.
Editorial standards
Three commitments we hold ourselves to, plainly:
- No clickbait. Headlines are verb-forward and concrete. If a fact doesn't survive contact with a second source, it doesn't make the story.
- Politically neutral. We cover business and the economy. When a story is unavoidably political, we steel-man the opposing view and let the numbers do the arguing.
- Corrections are visible. If we get something wrong, we say so — with a dated note at the top of the piece and a link to the corrected version.
Sponsored (infomercial) content
We accept sponsored placements from companies that want to reach Monterrey's business readers. Sponsored articles are written in the same voice and format as our newsroom pieces, are always clearly labeled, and never masquerade as editorial coverage. The sponsor is named in the byline. If you'd like to talk about a placement, use the sponsor a story block on our home page.
