More than 180 women entrepreneurs brought their products and projects to the second Mercado Hecho en Nuevo León: Mujeres que Inspiran at Nave Lewis in Parque Fundidora on September 19 and 20, according to El Norte and Reporte Indigo.

The useful detail for a small-business operator is that this was built as a commercial and support platform, not only a weekend market. The program combined customer access with sessions on finance, technology, marketing, brand building, leadership, and e-commerce, plus guidance on formalizing a business.

Only 18 in 100 are formally registered

El Norte reported that Betsabé Rocha, Nuevo León’s economy secretary, said only 18 of every 100 women entrepreneurs are registered. The state is presenting the program as a bridge toward formalization, while Reporte Indigo described the event’s financing and commercial-linkage sessions as tools for businesses that want to grow.
