At a Nuevo León Congress working session on Oct. 21, CFE Northern Division manager Osvaldo De León Ortiz said the utility plans to add approximately 1,247 megavolt-amperes (MVA) of electrical capacity in the state by 2031.

He linked the target to population and economic growth. Milenio also reported that De León Ortiz said the planned capacity would be sufficient to support Metro Lines 4 and 6.

This is a forward target, not capacity already delivered. The two reports do not identify a project list or a separate capital budget for the full addition.
