Monterrey-based Cemex reported net income of $407 million for the third quarter of 2026, up 55% from $264 million a year earlier. Consolidated net sales reached $4.59 billion, and EBITDA rose 12% to $990 million.
Mexico delivered the clearest regional gains: sales grew 16% to $1.299 billion and EBITDA advanced 30% to $480 million. Milenio attributed the performance to residential demand, cost efficiencies, and government social-infrastructure programs.
The U.S. business was mixed. Sales rose 5% to $1.373 billion, but EBITDA slipped 4% to $259 million amid an unplanned plant shutdown, input-cost inflation, and lower cement prices in some areas. Bloomberg reported that a recovery in Mexico and cost-cutting helped offset U.S. weakness.
For the full year, management now projects EBITDA growth of 16% to 17% and plans about $900 million in maintenance capital spending plus roughly $300 million for growth, Milenio reported. Those are company-wide plans, not a Nuevo León investment allocation.
