Nuevo León generated US$33.1 billion in exports during the first half of 2026, about 10% of Mexico’s total, state Economy Secretary Betsabé Rocha said at a Nuevo León Informa briefing on October 26. Milenio and El Horizonte reported the figure.
Rocha said the United States accounted for roughly 88% of the state’s exports. Milenio and the state government also put Nuevo León’s share of exports by Mexican states at 9.5% in the second quarter and its contribution to national manufacturing GDP at 12.7%.
The 88% share makes the business exposure direct: the United States is the main destination for state exports. The same state briefing reported more than 500 large manufacturing companies and 410,586 workers in IMMEX establishments as of July.
