Milenio reported that heavy rain washed away a section of the Parque Lineal being built beneath Metro Line 4 on Oct. 2; El Norte also reported the slide. Both placed it on Avenida Constitución near Venustiano Carranza, where a water tanker was left with one wheel hanging.
Milenio said no one was aboard and that the tanker, which witnesses said belonged to a company serving the construction works, was removed shortly after 13:00. Its reporting team observed no warning signs in the affected area.
El Norte identifies the state government as the builder of the linear park. Neither report states whether the incident changed project costs, the construction schedule or Metro service.
