The Secretariat of Economy of Nuevo León and UPS México signed a collaboration agreement to help the state’s micro, small and medium-sized businesses reach international markets. The package includes preferential discounts on domestic and international logistics services, workshops and specialized advice.
For a local supplier, the practical change is support around the shipment itself: simplifying export steps, improving supply-chain planning and using existing trade agreements to reach overseas demand. Neither source announced a dollar value for the pact.
40,000 formal jobs in the first half
Mexico Business reported government figures of more than 40,000 formal jobs created in Nuevo León during the first half of 2026. Betsabé Rocha, the state’s economy secretary, said commercial and service activities account for half of new positions and that many are tied to small businesses.
