On Oct. 22, the federal government and the Mexican Association of Private Industrial Parks (AMPIP) presented 20 parks under Plan México, including 10 in the northern corridor spanning Coahuila and Nuevo León, where 26,800 jobs are projected.

The corridor figures are combined across both states: 3.16 million square meters of industrial space and 75 companies expected, according to AMPIP data reported by El Horizonte and BNamericas. Neither report allocates the jobs or floor area to Nuevo León alone.

The 26,800 positions are a forecast, not current employment. BNamericas reported that expected companies have not yet installed in the new parks; nationally, the 20-park package represents US$763 million in investment, 4.6 million square meters and 32,127 projected jobs.

Plan México’s reported total now stands at 40 of the 100 parks targeted for the six-year term. For manufacturers and logistics operators, tenant placement is the practical next signal because the employment estimate depends on companies moving into the new space.

  • Regional scope: 10 parks across Coahuila and Nuevo León.
  • Industrial area: 3.16 million square meters combined.
  • Expected companies: 75 across the corridor.
  • Projected jobs: 26,800 across the corridor, not Nuevo León alone.
  • National package: 20 new parks across eight states.
  • National investment: US$763 million.
  • Plan México progress: 40 of 100 parks reported.
