Nuevo León will have two Polos de Desarrollo Económico para el Bienestar: one in Anáhuac linked to Aduana Colombia, and another in Pesquería across from KIA’s plant, El Horizonte reported. The state government’s Sept. 10 bulletin also confirmed that Nuevo León is developing new economic poles under its investment strategy.
The announced mechanism is a package of federal, state and municipal tax or tariff reductions for companies that establish in the selected polygons. The reports do not name tenants or attach a private investment amount to either site.
280 hectares facing KIA
The Pesquería polygon is planned at 280 hectares and is intended to support industrial, educational and residential infrastructure. The state is also building the Pesquería bypass, which is expected to provide a direct road connection to the site.
135B dollars in announced projects
In its own bulletin, the Nuevo León government said the current administration has announced US$135 billion in investment projects and that state exports exceeded US$252 billion. Those are administration-wide figures, not a value assigned to the two new poles.
