Juárez Mayor Mónica Oyervides reported US$285 million in new investment over the past year and more than US$430 million over her administration at a government report on Sept. 29.
El Horizonte also attributed more than 2,000 jobs to the administration’s cumulative investment total. Neither outlet named the companies, sectors, locations or project schedules behind the figures.
For suppliers and recruiters, the report gives a measure of claimed activity but not a project pipeline: the two accounts do not identify which firms are investing or when the work will move ahead.
