City officials and the federal utility agreed to keep reviewing neighborhood complaints, but coverage of the Oct. 6 meeting disclosed no new project budget or repair timeline.

Monterrey Secretary of Administration Marcelo Segovia met CFE directors in Mexico City on Oct. 6 to relay residents’ reports of power outages affecting multiple parts of the city.

The municipality said it would continue passing reports to the agency and serving as a link for residents. El Horizonte and Reporte Indigo say both sides agreed to maintain coordination and review complaints; city officials clarified that electricity service itself falls under federal responsibility.

The three reports gave no count of outage reports or affected neighborhoods, and announced no new project budget or schedule for repairs.
