Nuevo León’s Treasury presented a draft 2027 fiscal package totaling MX$177,939 million to local legislators and business representatives on Oct. 21. The proposal also seeks MX$12,397 million in borrowing, El Norte reports.
The borrowing proposal includes MX$2,707 million in financing for Agua y Drenaje de Monterrey. Milenio reports that the central-government portion would support completion of Metro works; the package remains a proposal, not an approved budget.
The draft includes no new taxes and proposes a 7.2% increase in municipal transfers. Milenio says the state intends to file the formal package with Congress by Nov. 20, leaving legislators to review its size and debt request.
