Nuevo León's state Treasury met with representatives of banks operating in the state on Sept. 7 as officials work on the 2027 fiscal package, El Norte reported. El Horizonte also described the meeting as part of the state's budget-building process.
The discussion covered economic projections and the financial conditions that could support the state's spending and investment plan. That puts the conversation at the financing stage, not at a published borrowing decision: neither report names the banks, a credit instrument, a rate or a peso amount.
No lenders or terms named yet
The Treasury has not publicly identified the participating institutions or detailed any agreement. El Horizonte said the administration was reviewing the sustainability of the budget and looking for financial conditions to support planned spending and investment.
Business-group meetings later this week
El Horizonte reported that the state planned additional meetings with organizations and business chambers after the bank session. The next useful marker is whether those conversations produce a concrete package, rather than another round of projections.
