San Pedro’s City Council voted on Oct. 13 to comply with a Superior Chamber of the Administrative Justice Tribunal ruling that orders a multifamily land-use license for a private property, El Norte and ABC Noticias reported.

ABC Noticias identifies the 54,150-square-meter parcel as lying between Privada de Capellanía and Río Jordán. The approved uses include multifamily housing and active recreation.

This is a land-use authorization, not a building permit: the owner still has to complete the applicable procedures before construction, ABC Noticias reports. The city initially rejected the request in 2018 before the owner challenged that decision.

  • Council action: vote to comply with the TJA ruling on Oct. 13, 2026.
  • Site area: 54,150 square meters.
  • Location: between Privada de Capellanía and Río Jordán in San Pedro.
  • Approved uses: multifamily housing and active recreation.
  • Next step: a separate construction permit is still required.
