On Oct. 5, Nuevo León Governor Samuel García said Torre Rise’s owners will provide the state with floor 86 as “contraprestación”; the Tourism Secretariat is slated to use the space, according to El Norte and Reporte Indigo.
Reporte Indigo said García described the project as a 101-level tower under construction beside the Santa Catarina River. He said the Tourism offices could receive ambassadors and prospective investors there.
The state’s side of the arrangement remains unspecified. El Norte reported that García did not say what the floor is in exchange for; Reporte Indigo said the original state concession related to the tower’s construction was not disclosed.
Reporte Indigo said the building’s inauguration was projected for the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027. The coverage did not give a handover date for floor 86.
