Expo Pyme 2026 will run September 8–10 in Nuevo León, with Caintra expecting up to MX$14.5 billion in business from its buyer-supplier meetings. The event is being positioned as a practical route for small and midsize companies to replace some Asian imports with Mexican supply.
The organizer expects more than 100 buying companies, roughly 300 purchasing executives and over 1,500 product and service requirements. More than 10,000 requests have been submitted so far, although only those that meet buyer needs will become meetings.
Why it matters
This is the connective tissue behind Nuevo León’s larger manufacturing story: local suppliers need a credible way into the procurement systems of industrial, logistics, construction and technology companies. Caintra says the meeting area will grow 20% from last year.
The event is also broadening its financing and technology offer. Eleven banks are expected to participate, while artificial intelligence and digitalization will be covered in a set of conferences aimed at productivity and risk management.
What to watch
The useful measure will be conversion, not foot traffic: how many of the scheduled meetings turn into qualified local contracts, repeat orders and new supplier certifications after the fair closes.
